What’s new in Propman X4.16

The latest Propman update focuses on making everyday financial and compliance tasks simpler, clearer and more reliable without adding complexity.

X4.16 introduces meaningful improvements to how you manage bank transactions, prepare for Making Tax Digital, and keep core processes running smoothly behind the scenes.

Below is a high-level look at what’s changed, and what it means for you.

A new foundation for bank feeds and reconciliation

One of the biggest updates in this release is the first phase of Bank Feed functionality. Designed to reduce manual effort and improve confidence in your financial workflows.

What’s changed

  • You can now import bank statements directly into Propman (CSV, TXT and QIF formats).
  • A new Bank Statement screen  gives you a clear, auditable view of imported transactions.
  • A dedicated Bank Matching screen  helps you match transactions to tenant receipts, refunds or unallocated cash.
  • Reconciliation is now driven from the bank transaction itself, rather than nominal detail.

Why it matters

  • Less rekeying, fewer errors, and a clearer audit trail.
  • A more structured, step-by-step reconciliation process.
  • A solid foundation for future enhancements, including open banking and increased automation.

This is a practical step forward for teams handling high transaction volumes who want greater control without added admin.

Making Tax Digital: clearer setup, stronger compliance

With Making Tax Digital for Income Tax on the horizon, X4.16 strengthens Propman’s tools to help property landlords and property businesses prepare with confidence. Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax will apply to UK landlords with qualifying property income over £50,000 per year, with Propman supporting the property income (SA105) elements of the submission.

What’s changed

  • Updated MTD configuration screens, with clearer separation between VAT and Income Tax.
  • Improved Income Tax token management, including visibility of token status and renewal prompts.
  • Enhanced SA105 mapping, with structured links between nominal codes and HMRC boxes.
  • New and improved tax return calculation, submission, and reprint screens.

Why it matters

  • Cleaner setup reduces the risk of errors later.
  • Clearer mapping supports accurate submissions.
  • Better visibility helps you prepare for MTD compliance without needing to be a tax expert.

Targeted improvements across everyday workflows

Alongside the headline changes, X4.16 includes a number of focused enhancements that improve reliability and usability across Propman, including:

  • Updates to rent reviews and statutory forms to ensure compliance with current requirements.
  • Performance and stability improvements for all three Portals.
  • Behind-the-scenes refinements to session handling and system resilience.

Ongoing fixes and stability updates

As with every release, X4.16 also includes a range of bug fixes and technical updates.

Rather than changing how you work, these improvements focus on:

  • Correcting edge-case errors.
  • Improving data handling and validation.
  • Strengthening security and system stability.

In this update we have also undergone validation and testing to support Microsoft Windows Server 2025 environments

These changes ensure Propman continues to perform consistently as your portfolio and processes grow.
